I’m sorry you blew your dad up Kate.
But I’m mostly sorry that you never really let yourself be held culpable for it. And that is why I dislike you.

So everytime I see people saying that Sawyer and Kate omg belong together and that the writers failed by not putting them together I get to typing all proper and just.

So irrationally angry and I write up these big angry responses analyzing relationships and just being a dick.

And then I delete it all.

Because one day I will write something calm and polite explaining why these things did not occur, this is the same day I will write those posts about why Sun and Juliet are seriously just the fiercest ladies and the fandom hate makes no sense.

So never.

I just want to pull the LOST fandom close to me over a beer and whisper very menacingly into its ear to stop talking, please.

While Kate’s Jack-to-Sawyer-to-Jack shenanigans* were the least interesting (and so least rewarding) rom-plot for me and I ugh‘d through most of her centric episodes (because of how slow they felt) she did do real, legitimate things that ended up being relevant in to the plot in some aspect! To be honest, I am appreciating her much, much more on my second run of the series.
*Which isn’t to say that she didn’t feel real things for both of them, rather that the frequent back-and-forth for the first four seasons was a bit grating as a viewer who was much more interested in the evolution of other relationships as well! A lot of screentime is given to the Jack/Kate/Sawyer dynamic that I think could’ve been spent on developing other relationships, both platonic and romantic and vitriolic. Though given that Jack and Kate are essentially the leads I’m not really surprised or put out by this.

there goes my train of thought. bye train :’C

HURLEY: Did I ever tell you I won the lottery? I had like a hundred and fifty million dollars. Worst thing that ever happened to me.
BERNARD: Oh yeah, who needs a hundred and fifty million dollars, right?
HURLEY: Now it’ll all be gone. Cause they all think I’m dead. We get rescued and I go back. I’m gonna be free. (Pauses) I wanna do a cannonball. I’ve been walking up and down this beach everyday and looking out at this water. And I wanna do a cannonball.
BERNARD: Hurley. You wanna do a cannonball? Cannonball.

The ash thing is shown being used as protection against the smoke monster a couple of times, if I’m remembering right. But, yeah. It’s one of, like, three things that Jacob’s brother can’t cross over.SO.That’s what was with that.
